What Exactly Is CBG?

CBG stands for Cannabigerol, a naturally occurring compound found in the hemp plant (Cannabis sativa). Like CBD, it is considered non-intoxicating at legally allowed levels and is commonly used in wellness-focused products in markets where hemp extracts are permitted.

Why Do People Call CBG “The Mother Cannabinoid”?

During the early growth of the hemp plant, an acidic form known as CBGA is produced. This compound is the precursor that later converts into other cannabinoids like CBD, THC, and CBC. CBG is often referred to as “The Mother Cannabinoid” because of its role as the parent compound from which other cannabinoids are derived.
